5 Main Characters of Wolf Girl and Black Prince

Wolf Girl and Black Prince (Ookami Shoujo To Kuro Ouji) is a Japanese shōjo manga series written by Ayuko Hatta. The story revolves around Erika Shinohara, a 16-year-old high school girl who urgently wants to fit in with a clique so she doesn't feel lonely. However, because her circle comprises girls with partners, she is forced to spout lies about having one herself. Erika takes a random man on the street to add authenticity to her photos. At her school, Kyoya Sata is, regrettably, the most popular boy. Erika wants him to pretend to be her lover, which he agrees to on the condition she agrees to become his "Wolf Girl" by treating him as a pet.

The Wolf Girl and Black Prince characters

1: Kyōya Sata

Kyōya Sata

The primary male protagonist in the series. Initially, Kyōya accepts Erika's suggestion of fake lovers with a "Prince Charming" manner. However, he soon blackmails, torments, and treats her like a "dog." He gradually begins to actually care for her and feels jealous when she gets close to other males. He also has a protective attitude towards her. As the series progresses, the story switches from Erika to him, as he realizes he has feelings for her and that she is not there only to "pass the time."

2: Erika Shinohara

Erika Shinohara

The main female heroine in the series. Erika frequently tells tall tales about having a boyfriend and shows a photo of a strange guy as proof. However, the guy turns out to be the genuine Kyoya Sata, a fellow student at her school. After considerable coaxing, he agrees to pretend to be her boyfriend on the condition that she become his "pet dog." Despite his nasty attitude towards her, she finally falls for him and makes numerous attempts to gain his affection.

3: Ayumi Sanda

Ayumi Sanda

Erika's first friend to find out about the "fake boyfriend" problem was Sanda, also called San-chan, a short-haired female. She is the opposite of Erika, being mature, self-sufficient, and reserved. She was Kyouya's first-year classmate. Although Sanda's bond with Erika is more important to her than her brief romantic interest in Kyoya. Later in the series, she also develops feelings for Takeru.

4: Takeru Hibiya

Takeru Hibiya

Kyōya's closest friend from middle school inherits his family's coffee company. He is a hot-blooded individual with a plain and straightforward nature. Erika and Kyoya's relationship has his full support, and he is glad that Kyoya can finally make friends outside himself. Later, Takeru develops feelings for Sanda, which initially makes Nozomi envious since he believes their relationships, as well as those of Erika and Kyoya, would leave him as the sole single member of their group.

5: Nozomi Kamiya

Nozomi Kamiya

The highly flamboyant guy named Nozomi is in the same year as Erika and Kyouya. In addition, he resembles a playboy. He readily remembers the names of new acquaintances, particularly cute girls' names. When Nozomi first sees Kyōya, he thinks he's the same as himself, even though he knows Kyōya and Erika are dating. He tries to persuade him to accept his point of view. It's not fun to be held down by one girl. Kyōya's refusal to engage in meaningless flings with other girls leads Nozomi to abandon the idea. He also made the decision to find someone who would mean as much to him as Erika does to Kyōya. Since then, he has been a member of their group, and he is temporarily concerned that he would become the "third wheel" after discovering Takeru and Ayumi's attraction to each other.
